Fred’s loving his new home

FRED, the seven-week-old puppy that captured the hearts of many Moree residents has now found a home.

Fred is a Bull Arab cross, who is albino and deaf, was dumped and left for dead at the Narrabri pound.

Carol Fulton-Kennedy from the Moree Animal Welfare League (AWL) posted photos on Facebook saying Fred was emaciated, dehydrated and the ranger thought he would surely die.

But Fred had other ideas and “fought to live”. AWL then actively searched for a new home.

“He does not want to go pig chasing. He needs his forever home to be loving and caring, and have him inside the house with them, most of the time,” she wrote.

“Because of the lack of pigment in his skin, his outside time needs to be morning or evening, and I would dearly love his home to be in a cooler climate to Moree.”

Even though Fred is deaf, Carol made it clear that he was a smart pup who could learn sign language commands easily.

In a recent post by the AWL’s Facebook page, they broke the news that Fred had found a home in Woolongong.

Carol told the Moree Champion that Fred was loving his new home.
