It is a family affair at the Broulee Moruya Giants

FAMILY CLUB: Family connections pose for a picture with current and future players of the Broulee Moruya Giants at Gundary Oval. Family involvement and engagement are the key to building a great community and sports club, says Broulee Moruya Giants (BMG) president Doug Williams.

The club likes to win their games for sure, but at BMG the emphasis is on encouragement, players doing their best, sportsmanshipand having fun.

After a successful first year in 2015 the club is looking forward to an expanded range of teams in 2016.

“The inclusion of a women’s grade in the SCAFL competition is a great initiative,”Williams said.

“It provides a pathway to genuine competition for girls once they’re too old for the age based junior competitions.”

The Giant’s home games are informal, relaxed affairs, and the club visits some of the more picturesque Sapphire Coast locations on their away games.

The family atmosphere is carried over to the club’s major sponsor. Williams said the major sponsor has a great set-up for families and that itgave a boost to the club at the start of last year.
